Keboer Foundry × Engel | Strategic Partnership for Custom GJS-400-18 Ductile Iron Castings

Leveraging our mature Resin Sand Casting and Coated sand process, Keboer Group has successfully established a long-term partnership with Engel Injection Molding Machine, a world-renowned Austrian high-end equipment manufacturer, specializing in high-precision ductile iron components.

1. Engagement & Technical Feasibility Matching

In April 2025, Engel initiated the first technical consultation with Keboer Group. The focus was on the feasibility of customized production of high-quality ductile iron parts for their high-end injection molding machinery.

The Keboer technical team promptly conducted a professional review of the part drawings provided by Engel. Drawing on our deep expertise in iron casting and mold manufacturing, we quickly confirmed our capability to undertake the project, leading to in-depth negotiations on quality standards and pricing.

2. Factory Audit: Comprehensive Optimization of Production Processes

In July 2025, Engel conducted a formal 3-day comprehensive audit of Keboer Foundry. The audit focused on our production capacity for medium and small-sized ductile iron parts.

The audit team evaluated five core dimensions: production capacity, worker expertise, full-process production control, quality inspection standards, and delivery protocols. Based on the audit report, Keboer promptly implemented a phased optimization plan for GJS-400-18 production, refining resin sand process parameters and enhancing quality inspection nodes to exceed Engel's strict standards.

3. Prototyping & 100% Qualification Rate Success

Following the audit improvements, Keboer launched the trial production of three core ductile iron components. Engel participated in the entire supervision process, from mold design to sample production and final quality inspections.

By September 2025, the first batch was shipped to Austria. In November, Engel's Austrian facility confirmed that all three GJS-400-18 components passed the machining and rigorous testing with a 100% qualification rate, solidifying our long-term cooperation.

4. Future Planning: Strategic Supply of Medium & Small Castings

Building on this success, Engel has confirmed its 2026 development plan with Keboer. We will successively develop various ductile iron parts focusing on:

• Component Weight: Parts under 10 tons.
• Material Standards: Premium GJS-400-18 (Ductile Iron 400-18).
• Advanced Processes: High-end Resin Sand Casting and Coated sand casting.
